Daniel E. Catullo III is one of the most successful music video and live event directors in the entertainment industry. With a career spanning more than 30 years, he is the driving force behind 10 Lives Studios LLC, an Emmy Award–winning film, television, and digital production company with offices in Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, and London.

Daniel’s expertise spans live events, comedy specials, commercials, scripted series, documentary films, travel programming, and corporate productions. Over the course of his career, he has produced and directed more than 100 music videos, 200 live television and concert specials, 50 television commercials, and over 100 web series and documentaries for major clients including Universal, Live Nation, Warner Bros., Hyundai, Viacom, Netflix, Sony, Showtime, AXS, Regal, Primary Wave, Kia, Interscope, RCA Records, AEG, and many others.

His extensive credits include producing and/or directing more than 200 television specials, live concert films, and documentaries, including Katy Perry – The Lifetimes Tour Live from Paris, Foo Fighters Live at The Acropolis, Alicia Keys – Keys to the Summer Tour,  Hilary Duff- Lucky Me, KISS 2020 Goodbye, Kings of Leon – Live from Memphis, Sebastian Maniscalco Live from MSG, Andrea Bocelli Live from Florence, Mariah Carey – Live from Central Park, Alter Bridge – Live from Wembley, The Black Eyed Peas at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, Rage Against the Machine – Live from London 2010, Creed Live, Rush in Rio, Dave Matthews Band Live in Central Park, The Smashing Pumpkins – If All Goes Wrong, Duran Duran Live from London, and Usher – 8701 Evolution Tour.

Daniel is also the Creator, Showrunner, and Director of the critically acclaimed and award-winning PBS television series Landmarks Live, which aired from 2017 to 2020 and is starting its second season in May of 2027.

An accomplished documentary director and producer, Daniel is a multiple Emmy Award winner. He received three Emmy Awards for his work addressing hazing: in 2020 for Breathe, Nolan, Breathe; in 2023 for 45 Mill Street; and in 2024 for Death of a Pledge. He also served as Executive Producer of the Academy Award–nominated film The Square (2014), which won Audience Awards at both the 2013 Sundance and Toronto International Film Festivals and earned three Emmy Awards in 2014. In 2026 he had an unprecedented 4 films at the Tribeca Film Festival- Alicia Keys- The Girl From Hells Kitchen, Frampton, 4000 Days and Katy Perry The Lifetimes Tour Live From Paris.  Additional documentary credits as Producer or Executive Producer include Alive Inside (Sundance Audience Award winner), The Mind of Mark DeFriest, Dog Warriors, Designer Skin, Trip of a Lifetime, and Unbreakable – The Mark Pollack Story.

Prior to founding 10 Lives Studios, Daniel was the Founder and CEO of City Drive Studios, which he led from 2011 to 2022. From 2000 to 2010, he founded and served as President of Coming Home Studios and DC3 Music Group, successful production and distribution companies specializing in music videos and live concert DVDs.

Daniel is an active voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy. Throughout his career, he has won or been nominated for more than 100 international awards, including Grammy, Emmy, Telly, Golden Eagle Cine, JUNO, Webby, Classic Rock, and RIAA honors.

He is also deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting organizations such as The Wheelchair Foundation and Remember Nolan Project. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Global Adolescent Project , Leslies Week, the Love Like Adam Foundation, and the One Heart Movement. He is also a consultant and Advisory Board Member to San Diego State University.

He attended West Virginia University where he studied Business Management.  Daniel was inducted into the WVU Alumni Hall of Fame in 2019. He resides in Orange County, California, with his wife of 26 years and their two children.
